MILLWALL will play a behind-closed-doors practice match this weekend during the international break.
Ryan Tunnicliffe and Ben Thompson played in the under-23s’ 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at The Den on Monday.
Calum Butcher wasn’t involved. Lions boss Neil Harris was at Southend’s Checkatrade Trophy fixture at Gillingham on Tuesday night.
That will inevitably lead to speculation about a move for Southend’s Ryan Leonard, who started in his side’s 2-1 defeat. Millwall have already seen two bids for the midfielder rejected in this transfer window.
Millwall could yet make an eighth signing of the summer and let a senior squad member leave before the end of the transfer window on Thursday night.
“We’ve got another game this week that the whole squad will be involved in behind closed doors,” Harris said. “There will be more minutes for everybody.
“We’re possibly looking at adding one more player. There’s nothing close to being done at the moment.
“If we add one more we will let one more go out.”
