FRED Onyedinma scored his third goal of the season but it wasn’t enough to help Wycombe Wanderers to a win over Sunderland.
Onyedinma powered the Chairboys in front with a 67th-minute left-footed half-volley at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, but the Black Cats equalised through Josh Maja with six minutes left. Wycombe are 15th in League One.
AFC Wimbledon began life after Neal Ardley with a 2-1 defeat at Doncaster. Tom King was on the bench for the Dons against John Marquis’ side.
In League Two, Sid Nelson played in the centre of defence of for Swindon, but the Robins – in Richie Wellens’ first match in charge following the sacking of Phil Brown – lost 4-0 at home to Carlisle.
Meanwhile, defender Danny McNamara, 19, has joined National League South Welling United on loan until December 17.
