DAVID Forde kept his sixth clean sheet of the season as Portsmouth won 1-0 at Cambridge United on Saturday.
Conor Chaplin gave Portsmouth a first-half lead and they survived the sending off of Amine Linganzi in the second half to hang on for the three points. Pompey are fifth in League Two.
Also in the fourth tier at the weekend, Paris Cowan-Hall set up Wycombe’s late equaliser when his 78th-minute shot was fumbled by Ross Etheridge and Matt Bloomfield pounced to earn the Chairboys a point after a 2-2 draw at Doncaster Rovers.
Earlier in the game former Lions striker John Marquis scored his seventh goal of the season after Tommy Rowe had cancelled out Bloomfield’s opener.
The result leaves Wycombe in 21st place in the table. Marquis’ Doncaster are in the hunt for automatic promotion after an impressive start to the season. They are third in League Two.
In the National League at the weekend, Jaime Philpot played 56 minutes in Bromley’s 2-1 win at North Ferriby United.
