MILLWALL could be without their first-choice central midfielders Shaun Williams and George Saville when they face Rotherham United on Sunday.
Williams was absent from the squad for the 2-1 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday night due to a family issue, and Lions boss Neil Harris said afterwards he didn’t know if he would be available this weekend.
Saville went off injured at half-time, and could also be a doubt for Sunday’s game. Full-back Conor McLaughlin came on at Hillsborough to partner Ryan Tunnicliffe in midfield in the second half.
Millwall loaned Ben Thompson to Portsmouth last week and signed Jem Karacan, but the former Reading and Bolton midfielder is short of match fitness.
If Millwall’s first-choice central midfield duo are not available for the clash at the New York Stadium, other options are to continue with McLaughlin, or play Jed Wallace or Shane Ferguson alongside Tunnicliffe.
