SHAUN Hutchinson is in contention for a place in the Millwall squad for the fifth round of the FA Cup against Leicester City on Saturday.
Hutchinson has missed the Lions’ last six games after picking up a small tear in his calf in the 0-0 draw at Charlton in January.
Millwall boss Neil Harris brought Jake Cooper to the club on loan from Reading last month, and the 22-year-old has partnered Byron Webster in the centre of defence in the last six games.
Millwall have kept five consecutive clean sheets and it’s over eight hours since they conceded a goal.
Ben Thompson and Lee Gregory, who both missed the wins over Southend and Port Vale, are doubts and may not be risked with a League One meeting with Chesterfield the following Tuesday.
Harris also has other late selection decisions to make ahead of the clash with the Premier League champions.
“Hutch trained again today so he has had a few sessions,” Harris said. “He’s available for the squad if we choose to use him.
“Ben and Lee, it’s a 50-50 call whether this game comes too soon. We’re hoping that both will be available for Tuesday night. It’s just whether they make it in time for this one, it will be last minute.
“There are a few knocks and bruises from the other night, we’ve had a real physical run of games including two tough fixtures at The Den, because we make them physical.
“There’s a couple we’ll have to wait until the last minute to see if they make it or not.”
