MILLWALL are set to welcome back captain Paul Robinson for their trip to the KC Stadium on Saturday.
The Lions skipper is yet to make an appearance this season after undergoing a double hernia operation in the summer, but is fully fit after returning to training two weeks ago.
However, Kenny Jackett will be without winger Liam Feeney, who has been ruled out for eight weeks after sustaining ankle ligament damage in Millwall’s 3-1 win over Middlesbrough.
Feeney’s misfortune may pave the way for winger Chris Taylor to make his first league appearance of the season. Taylor has yet to feature for the Lions since his debut in the Capital One Cup defeat to Crawley in August.
Striker John Marquis is also unavailable after picking up a thigh injury in training, which is expected to rule him out of action for the next two weeks.
Saturday’s fixture comes too soon for Jack Smith, who has been sidelined since the opening-day defeat to Blackpool with a thigh injury. However, the full-back could be available for Tuesday’s home match against Cardiff City.
Hull will continue to be without forward Matty Fryatt, who has been struggling with an Achilles problem since pre-season. Defender Paul McShane is doubtful due to illness.
The Tigers are also without long-term absentees Tom Cairney (knee) and Jack Hobbs (knee).
Former Lions loanee Jay Simpson is set to feature, having started in Hull’s 3-1 home victory against Bolton Wanderers before the international break.
