ELITE development squad manager Justin Skinner ran the rule over a group of trialists in the U21’s defeat to Kingstonian.
Shawn McCoulsky, an 18-year-old striker who scored four goals in 17 games for Dulwich Hamlet last season is one who is looking to impress Skinner.
Christian Mbulu is another looking to earn a conntract with Millwall. The former Brentwood Town defender made 16 appearances for the Ryman Premier side in 2014-15.
Ben Thompson scored the young Lion’s only goal in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat in a team that included Jamie Philpot, Alfie Pavey and Jack Powell.
And Skinner also had a chance to look at former Watford left-back Harry Kyprianou again, who played for the U21s against Braintree Town two weeks ago.
On the defeat, Skinner told the club’s official site: “There were some good bits in there.
“We’re fairly early on with our preparations for the season but it is still disappointing not to win.
“We made a lot of changes around the 60-minute mark, by which time we were dominating possession and looked like we could get a goal at any time.
“Those substitutions messed up a few partnerships throughout the team but they still only had a couple of shots, if not just the one chance in the second-half, and unfortunately for us it went in.
“We rallied and had another go with some of the youngsters on the pitch so it was all quite encouraging.
“There was nothing to get too disheartened about but at the same time we want to win every game. That’s the only disappointment.”
Meanwhile, there has been no update on other trialist Henry Breimyr.
