The owner of a beautiful newly refurbished 3-bedroom apartment overlooking Palmeira Square with sea views is hoping to raise £100,000 for the Rockinghorse Charity.
Perhaps you have always dreamed of getting out of London and living nearer to the coast? Or you might like a seaside getaway for long weekends with friends and family? Well here’s your chance! Just £2.00 could buy you the winning ticket for the apartment of your dreams, overlooking the sea, and help raise thousands for charity.
Fiona Koderisch, owner of the beautiful, newly refurbished three-bedroom sea-view apartment overlooking Palmeira Square in Hove, is hoping to raise £100,000 for the local Sussex children’s charity – Rockinghorse
Fiona decided to take this unusual route to sell her apartment after being given the idea by a friend.
The Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, which supports the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton, has lost more than £50,000 in funding due to the cancellation or postponement of many major events this year amid the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Rockinghorse provides vital support to the Royal Alexandra Children hospital along with, the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, Special Care Baby Unit at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath and many other services supporting sick children throughout Sussex.
Tickets cost just £2.00 to enter, and a chance to win this fabulous prize of this a 3-bedroom apartment with sea views, overlooking Palmeira Square in the heart of trendy Hove. The prize includes this mortgage free property worth £800.000 along with stamp duty and legal conveyancing costs paid! The owner, Fiona will also pay for the council tax and service charges for the first 12 months. So, the lucky winner has plenty of time to decide whether to move it in, rent it out as an investment or simply sell the flat and cash in!
A minimum amount of 550,000 tickets will need to be sold to guarantee the property prize but Rockinghorse will receive 10% of the profits from all tickets sold whether the minimum is reached or not. If the minimum ticket sales aren’t reached, the winner will receive 80% of the ticket sales revenue, which will still be a significant sum.
Ten percent of every ticket sold will be donated to Rockinghorse Charity and the owner Fiona is hoping to raise more than £100,000! This would be a massive boost and allow Rockinghorse to continue with its vital work for sick children in the local community.
Fiona said: “I have been so lucky living here it’s such a special place – the size, the views, the fabulous vintage lift. I will miss the fantastic views from the bedroom and window seat most! It’s amazing whatever the weather especially sunsets and just watching the world go by. I am so happy that I have this amazing opportunity to donate to Rockinghorse when they need help most, it’s such an amazing charity, while giving everyone who takes part the chance to win this fabulous apartment and enjoy it like I have! Good Luck.”
Stella Buckingham, Events Fundraising Manager for Rockinghorse, is overwhelmed by the offer of support: “It’s fair to say that the last few months have been challenging for Rockinghorse; all our events had to be cancelled and this has had a real impact on our ability to fundraise. However, sick, and premature babies and children across the county still need our support as much as ever.
Which is why we are so thankful to Fiona for choosing us as the charity beneficiary for her raffle. Every pound raised will be going towards projects and equipment that can change the lives of the children and families we support.”
