Moving forward from COVID, the Home Office and related third parties have transitioned to digitised remedies when managing immigration matters. Even the First Tier Tribunal has swayed onto the online platform enabling a more streamlined process for updates.
At our legal practice, we must adapt to a continuation of change, requiring our Immigration Lawyers to constantly keep updated both immigration policy changes as well as process updates.
Changing landscape through AI & digital technology in legal
With Artificial Intelligence broadening its shoulders, it isn’t tough to see that the future is uncertain of which roles will be replaced.
It was fascinating with the interview between Rishi Sunak and Elon Musk, where Mr Musk expressed AI will take over many roles. One thing both sides can agree on is that technology has changed how we do things every day.
Applying through digital platforms
With, the applicant or a sponsor when preparing an immigration application or managing a Tribunal appeal matter, you need to be versed on the criteria and procedures on how a matter works.
- Most of our client’s do prefer the paper application forms because on the digital application, if you fail to understand the question and complete it wrong, the questions do not appear due to digital algorithms.
However, with technology, we see benefits to it. Whilst it can be a daunting experience, it lets both us and our clients to work at speed, getting applications and appeals done at quick pace.
Can AI take over making a decision? I would imagine this will become a starting point in the nearer future.
