Pupils from an Elephant and Castle primary school had a music lesson with a difference last week, when they got the chance to learn the guitar – on the London Eye, writes Emma Snaith.
Children from St George’s Cathedral Catholic Primary School were given the lesson by Yamaha Music London to celebrate Make Music Day. They took to the sky on Wednesday, June 21, and completed the lesson during just one rotation of the Eye.
The children learnt the correct way to hold a guitar and how to master the essential three chords that form the basis of most songs.
At the end of the flight they joined together for a performance to demonstrate their new found guitar skills.
