Burglars targeted two houses in Dulwich last week by crawling through unlocked windows during the night.
Both incidents happened on August 17 while the occupants were sleeping.
At 5.41am a suspect attempted to break into a house North Cross Road, only to be disturbed by the occupant, who told the police they had heard noises coming from downstairs. Nothing was taken from the house.
Police were later called to a house in Goodrich Road at 8.20am, after a family awoke to find a number of their belongings missing. A spokesman for the Met Police told the News the “suspects” appeared to have gained entry via a back door and window left open.
So far no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information that could help the police should call 101.
