LEE Gregory believes the “possibilities are endless” and said Millwall feel “unbeatable” before the Lions aim to extend their unbeaten league run to eight games at Burton this weekend.
Gregory and Steve Morison were on target in the 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday to move their side to within eight points of the top six.
That gap now stands at nine after Bristol City’s 1-1 draw against Fulham on Wednesday, and Millwall are rank outsiders to make the play-offs for a third successive season.
But Millwall have lost just once in 10 Championship games and have won three in a row on the road.
“Do you know what, in the camp at the moment we just feel unbeatable,” Gregory said. “The aura around the club is brilliant, everyone just gets on with each other.
“We’re in our own little bubble at the moment and hopefully we can keep that going. What are we off the play-offs at the minute? What were we a few weeks ago? You never know if results go our way and we keep performing, the possibilities are endless.
“We did it last year. You never know, do you, if we keep doing what we’re doing, keep picking up points away from home, which is important for us now.
“Burton on Saturday is going to be a tough game because it’s a tough place to go, but hopefully we can get three points there and see where we are at.
“For us it’s just another game, we know what we have to do, go there and get three points. That’s the way we look at it, we don’t look at the past. Maybe the gaffer does want to get one over on them, but we just take each game as it comes.”
Gregory and Morison scored for the first time in the same game since the 3-2 second-leg play-off semi-final win at Scunthorpe last season, and Gregory has netted four in his last eight fixtures.
He said: “I’ve always backed myself to score. At the start of the season everything was going against me, I was playing well but the ‘keeper was pulling off saves, post, ball just going wide.
“Thankfully it’s going my way now.
“The gaffer knows how we work. Some days it doesn’t go for you, some days it does. Moro is one of the better players in the team, if he doesn’t play well and the ball is not in and around him we kind of struggle because we don’t get the second balls and stuff.
“Steve is a vital player.
“The centre-halves and the full-backs, week-in, week-out, they’re solid. Without them we wouldn’t be winning.”
