MILLWALL’S winless run extended to six games in all competitions after they fell to defeat against QPR last Saturday.
The week ahead is a big one for Neil Harris’ side with three games, starting with a trip north to face Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers are currently bottom of the table and without a win in the league this season. Their winless run is currently 17 games. The last time Huddersfield tasted success was in February.
Millwall haven’t won on the road since March.

Why do your support Huddersfield?
I support Huddersfield as they are my local club. There was nothing more to it than that given my parents weren’t from the area.
What has been your favourite season following the Terriers?
My favourite season following Town has to be the promotion season to the Premier League in 2016-17. It’s a cliché but honestly there’s no better feeling than seeing your club, that struggle year-in year-out, going up.
And the worst?
The worst has to be last season. There seemed to be no fight left and the entire system didn’t work. I went to games knowing what was to come, but still went.
There was just a lack of identity from top to bottom. I feel like the team just couldn’t stop losing and we had no alternative but to lose.
Jan Siewert was sacked in August – where did it go wrong for him?
Siewert, I feel sorry for as he came into the job when he could have just stayed at Dortmund. I wish he was still at the club, in all honesty, as a youth coach or something along those lines.
He will progress into a great coach but it was just the wrong time for him. He tried to implement his ideas but they never came across in the way we played, unfortunately.
Are you confident the Cowley brothers are the right people to take the club forward?
I haven’t felt this confident about an appointment since David Wagner. I truly do believe they will be the managers to take us to the next level.
They fit the model of the club on the pitch and in the community – you can relate to them.
It’s been a tough start to the season for Huddersfield – what now would be a good season in terms of final league position?
I think top half would be a good finish now. If we manage to pick up 12 points in the next four games we can get some real momentum and really start to prove that we can rock this league.
What have you made of Millwall’s start to the season?
I think Millwall so far have picked up some impressive results. However, in the last few games there’s been a lack of form. That is quite worrying, highlighted by the loss to Oxford, in my opinion.
What are your thoughts on Millwall boss Neil Harris?
I think Neil Harris is a Championship manager and a safe option for the club. He does the job but I feel like there are better alternatives you could aim to get.
If you could sign one Millwall player, who would it be and why?
I think Mahlon Romeo could be a good player for our squad due to the lack of right-backs at our club.
Who will be your key men on Saturday?
I think our key men will be three/four players and the core of our team.
Lewis O’Brien is a young player who’s come through the ranks brilliantly and impressed heavily so far.
Trevoh Chalobah is a player that I think will go all the way and captain England one day, a brilliant prospect.
Alex Pritchard could be back and if so I think it could be an injection of creativity into the team.
Finally, Karlan Grant. The lad has five goals this season in a team with no plan. Under the Cowleys he could be very, very special.
What is your predicted Huddersfield starting line-up and formation?
My prediction is a 4-2-3-1 – a formation the Cowleys often played at Lincoln.
Grabara; Duhaney, Schindler, Kongolo, Brown; Chalobah, O’Brien; Pritchard, Diakhaby, Grant; Campbell.
I feel like there are a few risky players in there such as Pritchard, Demeaco Duhaney and Terence Kongolo who may not be picked. But I believe that is one of our strongest teams possible.
Will you be at the game on Saturday?
Of course I will. Hopefully we get three points but I feel we could be held back by a struggling Millwall side.
Finally, a score prediction?
I’m going to say 2-1 will be the final score to Huddersfield – goals by Grant and Frazier Campbell.
