MILLWALL are aiming to extend their unbeaten home run to five games when they take on QPR at The Den on Friday night.
Both sides are level on points but Millwall’s better goal difference puts them two places ahead of their London rivals in the Championship table.
A win would take Millwall to 30 points, six points ahead of where they were at the same time in their last Championship campaign, though with a game more played, when current QPR boss Ian Holloway was in charge.
Lions manager Neil Harris was hopeful that Conor McLaughlin and Tom Elliott would be fit for selection after both departed early in the 2-2 draw with Wolves on Boxing Day.
Holloway is without suspended midfielder Josh Scowen after his red card at Ipswich, while James Perch and Joel Lynch remain out.
Hoops midfielder Jordan Cousins began his career with Millwall’s south London rivals Charlton, and he urged his side to control their emotions in a sold-out Den.
“Being ex-Charlton it’s always tough to go there, I know what to expect, but it’s all about us,” he told Get West London. “We can’t be focused on the hype, we just need to go there and be prepared to get the three points.
“It’s about us so we have to be patient and calm and not let the emotions get to us, because that’s when mistakes can happen. But if we go there in the right frame of mind I think we can get the three points.”
