TOM Elliott and Conor McLaughlin could come back into contention for Millwall’s New Year’s Day trip to Norwich.
The pair were absent through injury from the match-day squad as the Lions defeated QPR 1-0 on Friday, but boss Neil Harris said they were close to being available.
Harris must assess his players as they face their fourth game in 10 days, but could decide to stick with the side that started in the win over the Hoops.
Harris does have the option of bringing Shaun Williams and Fred Onyedinma into the side if he feels there are players that need rests.
Norwich boss Daniel Farke was criticised after he made six changes to his starting side as they drew 0-0 at Burton on Saturday.
Millwall have had almost a day more rest than the Canaries for this fixture.
“It is not possible for these lads to play so many 90 minutes in a close period,” Farke said. “To play twice within three days.
“Otherwise I would risk injuries. You have to gamble a bit. It was tricky whether we took the risk in this game or the next home one against Milwall.”
Harrison Reed went off injured against Burton, and Farke could decide to recall attacking trio Alex Pritchard, James Maddison and Josh Murphy.
