NEIL Harris expects his trio of international players to be “buzzing” when they return to training on Thursday.
Conor McLaughlin and Shane Ferguson played for Northern Ireland as they all but guaranteed a World Cup play-off spot.
And Jordan Archer was part of the Scotland squad that also claimed six points over the weekend to keep alive their hopes of reaching Russia.
“They get back on Thursday. It’s great to have them away on international duty,” Harris said. “Jordan hasn’t played any minutes but what an experience he’ll have had as a young man going away on his first senior trip.
“Conor played 180 minutes of football and from what I watched played very, very well. He showed real class.
“Fergie had a couple of substitute experiences and all three of them, their nations picked up six points. All three will come back buzzing.
“We’ve seen it with Fergie before, Jimmy [Abdou] with Comoros, Mahlon [Romeo]. When they come back they’ve an extra spring in their step.
“On the back of the Norwich victory as well and what they produced over the weekend they’ll come back in a really good place.”
