MILLWALL have confirmed the signing of defender Joe Bryan.
Left-back Bryan, 29, has joined the Lions on a free transfer from Fulham.
The former Bristol City defender completed his medical on Wednesday.
Bryan will be battling to nail down a left-back or left wing-back spot, depending on which formation manager Gary Rowett decides to play this season.
Bryan is the second signing of the summer after Scotland striker Kevin Nisbet.
Millwall returned to pre-season training on Wednesday. Bryan will be in the group when they fly out to Spain on Sunday for their pre-season training camp.
Millwall beat a number of clubs to the signing of Bryan.
The club’s director of football operations and recruitment, Alex Aldridge, commented on the move.
“Joe has invaluable experience at the top end of the Championship – having won promotion twice with Fulham before – and in the Premier League, so we are very pleased that he has decided to join us,” Aldridge said on Millwall’s official website.
“It was evident in our conversations with Gary over the summer that Joe is relishing a new challenge after his time with Fulham and a different experience abroad in the French league last year.
“His quality and versatility to play both as a full-back and wing-back will really strengthen the squad, and we look forward to working with him.”
