JIMMY Abdou was sent off as AFC Wimbledon lost 1-0 to Blackpool on Saturday.
Abdou was given a straight red card for a two-footed tackle on Callum Cooke in the 53rd minute, a minute after Sean Longstaff scored the only goal of the game.
It was Abdou’s first sending off since he received a red card for Millwall against Reading in October 2013 and just his third in 380 games in Englsih football.
The result leaves the Dons in 16th place in League One.
Woking are up to ninth in the National League after their 3-1 win at Macclesfield. Jamie Philpot came on in the 83rd minute in the victory for Anthony Limbrick’s side.
In League Two, James Brown was on the bench as Carlisle drew 1-1 at home to Mansfield, for whom former Lions midfielder Calum Butcher scored the equaliser.
Also in League Two, Harry Smith wasn’t involved as Swindon slumped to a 4-1 defeat at home to Barnet, while Sid Nelson started in the centre of defence in Yeovil’s 2-0 defeat at Harry Kewell’s Crawley Town.
