MILLWALL have signed Luke Steele on loan from Nottingham Forest.
The Lions made a late move for a goalkeeper in the transfer window after Frank Fielding injured his quad in the opening game against Preston last weekend.
Steele, 34, has vast experience in England and abroad. He started his career with Peterborough before Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United agreed a deal worth over £2million for him in 2002.
Steele didn’t make a senior appearance for United before he moved to West Brom in 2006 after two loan spells at Coventry.
He spent six seasons with Barnsley, making 209 appearances in the Championship, before a switch to Greek top-flight side Panathinaikos in 2014 where he played 96 times.
Steele moved back to England with Bristol City in 2017 before switching to Nottingham Forest the following summer.
Steele could be on the bench as cover for Bart Bialkowski at West Brom on Saturday after signing a deal until January.
