SHANE Ferguson was involved in two goals as Northern Ireland defeated San Marino 4-0 in World Cup qualifying Group C on Saturday evening.
Steven Davis put Michael O’Neill’s side ahead from the spot but they had to wait until 11 minutes from time for their second when Ferguson’s accurate cross was flicked home by Kyle Lafferty.
Six minutes later Ferguson again found Lafferty from the left and the Norwich City striker nodded down to Jamie Ward to smash home.
Lafferty got his second in added time, from one of his side’s 11 shots on target from 35 efforts on goal.
Northern Ireland have four points from two games and face Germany in Hanover on Tuesday night.
