MILLWALL’S defensive resources could be severely stretched for their game against Barnsley next weekend as they wait on the results of a scan on Shaun Hutchinson’s knee.
Hutchinson received a heavy knock against Derby and needed treatment to continue, but he didn’t look comfortable.
Captain Alex Pearce is also a major doubt, leaving the Lions with just two senior centre-backs, Jake Cooper and Murray Wallace.
Manager Gary Rowett said: “Hutch’s had a scan but it will be the back end of the week before we know definitively what’s wrong with him,” Rowett said. “But I think he’ll be a huge, huge doubt for the weekend.
“Pearcey’s not training yet either. Realistically he’s not going to be fit for the game. We’re quite short in that area in terms of senior players.”
