MILLWALL could be handed a boost at the Liberty Stadium with striker Oli McBurnie a doubt for Swansea this weekend.
McBurnie, who scored the winner when the sides met at The Den in August, has been suffering from illness this week.
Skipper Leroy Fer is out, but Dan James, who saw a deadline-day move to Leeds fall through, and Wayne Routledge are available.
Both sides are on a run of one defeat in their last eight games in all competitions.
“They’re on the back of a good cup run as well. They know their strengths and they’re hard to play against,” Swans boss Graham Potter said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday. “It’ll be a real test, certainly at set-plays. We’re looking forward to it. It’ll be nice to play football after what’s been a turbulent few days.
“Leroy’s out, Dan’s back, Wayne’s back. Oli’s missed training, he’s been ill. He trained today but it’s been light and he’s a doubt for the weekend.
“We want Oli to be fit but we’ve had a lot of games so we don’t want to rush him.”
Swansea let Wilfried Bony, Tom Carroll and Jefferson Montero leave on loan on January 31 without signing anyone.
Potter added: “As a coach of course you’re disappointed when players leave. In an ideal world you’d like to bring players in. But at the same time, there was going to be a period where there are some big financial challenges facing us. The club and I have to act accordingly to that.
“It opens up space for others to play and the positive for us was that we managed to keep Dan and we’ll see if the group can carry on developing. The dynamic hasn’t been disrupted too much.
“It was dramatic. Lots of things were and weren’t happening. The reality is we lost three players, or three players left should I say, and we managed to keep hold of our captain and a talented young player. That’s how I look at it.”
