MILLWALL will head into this game having conceded just one goal in their last 10 games and having extended their unbeaten run to 17. The Lions will be hoping to reach the semi-finals for the first time since 2013.
Jordan Archer could return to face his former club and therefore replace Tom King, who has conceded just one goal in four appearances. The Lions’ recent successful run has been recognised with the February manager of the month award for Neil Harris.
But Spurs are also in good form and have won nine consecutive league games at home. Harry Kane will be up against the club that he says made him the player he is today. Kane has scored three hat-tricks in his last 10 games.
Lucas Ball spoke to Tottenham fan Tom Kennard ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup last-eight clash at White Hart Lane.
Why do you support Tottenham?: I support Tottenham because ever since I was a young boy my grandad, dad and uncles have always supported the team and it’s run through the family.
Harry Kane and Dele Alli are in top form at the moment, do you expect them to carry that on this Sunday?: They’ll perform of course, as they always do, but we play as a unit.
If the whole team’s doing well on the day, there are very few teams who can stop us in the Premier League, let alone the country.
Kane has previously admitted that his Millwall loan spell was the making of him, but that won’t stop him from performing at the weekend.
With the attacking options that Spurs have from the bench in the likes of Son Heung-min, is it likely that Mauricio Pochettino will rest players?: Pochettino does what he wants. If he rests players, then he rests them.
At the end of the day, if we win, we win. However, he has shown the FA Cup a lot of respect this season, unlike other clubs, and will be looking to end the final FA Cup game at White Hart Lane with a bang.
Who is the biggest threat in the Spurs side currently?: In my opinion, Harry Kane. There is no doubt about it.
He’s a Golden Boot contender and he’s been banging in goals from all over recently. With three hat-tricks in his last 10 games he’ll be looking to score another on Sunday.
Who do you see as Millwall’s main threat on Sunday afternoon?: The arrival of Jake Cooper in January strengthened your backline hugely, and at six foot six, he will be a threat at set-pieces.
Steve Morison and Lee Gregory have a great partnership up front, and with Jed Wallace’s delivery those two could cause issues.
Finally, a score prediction?: Tottenham 3-2 Millwall
