A builder has denied stabbing a Bermondsey father-of-one to death outside a children’s playground in Southwark Park.
Stephen O’Rourke, 47, is accused of murdering Rocky Djelal, 38, in Southwark Park on Halloween last year.
Mr Djelal had been attacked in broad daylight close to the children’s play area before dying of his wounds.
O’Rourke, of Grosvenor Park, Kennington, appeared in the dock of the Old Bailey in a grey suit to deny the charge of murder.
He was due to stand trial earlier this week but the court was told the case will now be heard on July 27 next year.
O’Rourke was remanded in custody.
