A man has been charged after a stabbing at The Aylesham Centre, Peckham Rye on Monday, August 22.
Nico Bassett, 28, of Ann Moss Way, Bermondsey, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon on Wednesday, August 24.
Police were called to the shopping centre at 3.56pm on the Monday to reports of a stabbing where they found a man in his 30s with stab wounds.
Paramedics treated him at the scene and his condition was assessed as life-threatening at the time.
He was rushed to hospital and thankfully his injuries are no longer believed to be life-threatening.
As well as Mr Bassett, police arrested a 24-year-old woman who has since been released under investigation.
Mr Bassett appeared in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on August 24 and is due to appear at the Inner London Crown Court on Wednesday, September 21.
