A man was taken to hospital after an alleged assault near Canada Water Tube station on Saturday (July 30).
The man, 32, was allegedly attacked on Albatross Way, to the north-east of the station in the early hours of Saturday morning.
At this stage his injuries have been deemed to be possibly life changing, but not life threatening. Against medical advice, he left hospital on Monday (August 1).
Specialist officers from CID have taken over the investigation but have not arrested anyone yet – and are calling for anyone who knows anything about what happened to get in touch.
A spokesperson for the Met said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 02:17hrs on Saturday, 30 July to reports of an assault on Albatross Way, SE16.
“Officers attended. A 32-year-old man was taken to hospital with a head injury, which is not believed to be life-threatening.
“There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
“Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 876/30Jul.”
