Police have confirmed that a man has died after he had ‘fallen from height’ at the Aragon Tower on the Pepys Estate, Deptford, this morning.
Police were called to the scene at 7.13am today (Thursday, March 16) and cordoned off the area around the 29-storey residential block.
Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and a man in his thirties was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being treated as unexpected and police are conducting further enquiries to establish the circumstances.
Residents trying to get into their flats were reportedly being directed to the main entrance of the building.
The man’s next of kin are yet to be informed.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 07:13hrs on Thursday, 16 March to reports that a man had fallen from height from the Aragon Tower in George Beard Road, Deptford.
“Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. A man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin are yet to be informed.
“The death is being treated as unexpected and further enquiries are taking place to establish the circumstances.”
