A Camberwell man accused of stealing chocolate and inflicting grievous bodily harm will appear at Woolwich Crown Court next week.
Richard Campbell, of Casino Avenue, gave no plea to the charges of theft from a shop and wounding/inflicting grevious bodily harm without intent when he appeared at Camberwell Magistrates’ Court last Thursday. The 44-year-old was accused of taking £43.16 worth of chocolate from the 99p store in Rye Lane on March 10, and then inflicting GBH on two men when confronted.
The prosecuting solicitor said he used a “two metre long metal pole” during the incident.
He will appear at Woolwich on March 26. He was refused bail and was remanded in custody.
