A man from Kennington was charged with assault and affray on Sunday, (February 17) after police officers were caught up a ‘yellow vest’ protest.
The Met says ‘a number’ of officers were assaulted during the demonstration on Saturday, February 16.
Six people have now been charged over the alleged assaults, including fifty-six-year-old Robert Walker, from Hillington Street in SE17.
He has been charged with three counts of assault on an emergency worker and affray.
Five other people have also been charged by police investigating the alleged assaults, including one from north London.
All are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 19.
