A police investigation has launched after a man’s body was found in Camberwell this morning.
Officers were called to Bethwin Road at 5.35am to reports of a body discovered in the back of a bin lorry.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has not been named and no further details have been made public.
The Met confirmed it was treating the death as “unexplained”.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson told the News: “We were called at 5:39am this morning (24 February) to reports of an incident on Bethwin Road, Camberwell.
“We dispatched an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a medic in a car and an incident response officer to the scene.
“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance trauma team in a car.
“Sadly, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.”
