Pregnant women and their families are invited to join an online event about the COVID-19 vaccine held this Thursday.
Held by South East London Integrated Care System, the webinar will offer up-to-date information about the COVID-19 vaccination programme, safety information, and the benefits of being vaccinated and risks of the disease during pregnancy. There will also be the opportunity to ask any questions.
Speakers include Jacqui Kempen, south-east London’s local maternity system programme lead; Linda Machakaire who is head of Midwifery at Lewisham Hospital; Dr Ogechukwu Ilozue, a GP trainer and partner and clinical adviser to London’s COVID-19 programme; Dr Gurjinder Sandhu, a consultant in infectious diseases and general medicine at King’s; and Dr Poonam Dassan, an obstetric neurologist based at Queen Charlotte’s hospital.
The event will be held on Thursday, August 26, from 6pm to 7pm. Anyone can attend, with no registration required.
