Registration is now open for an annual 50km walk set up to raise money for a charity offering care and support to cancer patients in memory of broadcaster Richard Dimbleby.
The Dimbleby Cancer Care Walk 50 challenge, taking place for the third year this June, will raise money for the Dimbleby Cancer Care information and support services at Guy’s Cancer Centre, which provides support and information to cancer patients, their friends and carers.
Starting at St Thomas’ Hospital, the walk’s route takes in London landmarks including Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, the British Museum, the Tower of London, Canary Wharf, Greenwich, and Lambeth and this year has extended the route out to Hammersmith and Fulham.
Walkers finish at Guy’s Hospital, where the charity now has its new home at Guy’s Cancer Centre.
Walk50 takes place on Friday, June 9, and anyone who registers before March 10 will receive an early bird discount. Registration closes on May 10.
