The police are hunting the suspect of an unprovoked attack in Camberwell after a shop assistant was hit over the head with a glass bottle.
The man, thought to be in his late teens, entered the Food and Wine Store in Camberwell Green at around 7pm on October 13 last year.
The suspect had an argument in the shop about his broken mobile phone and how dissatisfied he was with the service he had received there.
He walked out but returned half an hour later, walked straight up to the counter and hit the 25-year-old shop assistant over the head with a glass Vodka bottle.
The victim was taken to hospital with head injuries.
The suspect is described as black, aged in his late teens or early twenties, 5ft 4″ tall with a gold or silver tooth.
He was wearing a purple and grey tracksuit top and lit grey tracksuit trousers.
Detective Constable Tessa Lyle-Meller, from Southwark Police, said: “This is a dangerous individual who assaulted an innocent shop worker in an unprovoked attack. He needs to be located by the police. It is believed he lives locally, close to Camberwell Green.”

its very funny how they couldn’t give a valid description other than BLACK and to add to that most ‘black boys’ have a gold tooth
If He is black & had gold teeth, what are they supposed to say to describe him? The man was green and had wooden teeth?
Get the chip off of your shoulder & try to stop making yourself look foolish.
No mark you get a grip some black people have blue eyes, green eyes, brown eyes and what about hair styles long Afro short cropped? So I think you better get your chip off your shoulder!
Clarissa, the fact that the suspect is black isn’t the only thing that was reported though was it? The actual description is: “The suspect is described as black, aged in his late teens or early twenties, 5ft 4? tall with a gold or silver tooth. He was wearing a purple and grey tracksuit top and lit grey tracksuit trousers.”
But think about the fact that all you homed in on is that the report said he’s black and he has a gold or silver tooth. There’s actually information about his age, his height, what he was wearing…
Please remember that descriptions are given to the police by victims and witnesses. They’re not made up by reporters or the police. So the description of a person can only be the information that a victim or a witness have given.
