JAYSON Molumby was set to return to full training with Millwall on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s Championship clash with Wigan at The Den.
Molumby missed Saturday’s 1-0 win at Swansea with a hip flexor problem.
Ben Thompson had to make a late dash to that game after his partner gave birth to a baby boy on Friday.
Rowett brought Billy Mitchell into his squad at the weekend, but Molumby will be back if he comes through Monday’s session.
“Jayson was always touch and go for Saturday, we just felt it was too big a risk especially with Thommo’s situation and we have a three-game week,” Lions boss Gary Rowett said.
“Billy had done really well in training so we felt it was better to have someone completely fit on the bench should we need it rather than Jayson.
“We managed to give [Molumby] the breather Saturday, I made a late decision to do that, I thought it was sensible.
“Sunday he did a little bit with the sports science team. We didn’t want him to join in training just in case.
“Today he should train fully and will certainly be available for selection provided he gets through today.
“We’ve also got Ryan Leonard who should be training with the team next week.”
