SHAUN Williams and Aiden O’Brien are in Mick McCarthy’s provisional Republic of Ireland squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers against Gibraltar and Georgia this month.
Former Lions boss McCarthy takes charge of the country for the second time as they go to Gibraltar on March 23 before hosting Georgia in Dublin three days later.
Williams and O’Brien won their first caps under previous boss Martin O’Neill, before McCarthy was appointed until the end of the 2020 campaign.
