MILLWALL won’t be distracted by their FA Cup quarter-final next weekend as they focus on “a huge game” against Birmingham on Wednesday evening.
The Lions face Brighton at The Den next Sunday but before that they go to St Andrew’s in 21st place in the league, just a point above the relegation zone after their 2-1 defeat at Bolton.
Millwall are trying to avoid a fifth consecutive league loss.
“The cup game is going to be a good occasion at The Den,” Harris said. “It will be exciting for the fans, but the priority is the league. All I’m focusing on is Birmingham on Wednesday. It’s a huge game for us.
“It’s four defeats in a row. I’m hugely disappointed in the results and the performances. I have now got to pick a team on Wednesday that is capable of going and competing against a very good, physical Birmingham side.”
Meanwhile, Brighton won 2-1 at Selhurst Park on Saturday and Glenn Murray, who scored their first, has warned his team-mates they can expect a similar atmosphere at The Den.
“We will sit them down and give them the heads up. They’ve probably never been anywhere like that before,” Murray said. “But there’s nowhere more difficult than [Selhurst Park].
“When they got the equaliser this afternoon and their fans were behind them, there’s no more difficult place. It will be similar to that. It’s almost a cup final for both clubs with the chance of a day out at Wembley, so we know what to expect.”
