MILLWALL have been relegated to League One following Rotherham’s 2-1 victory over Reading tonight.
The Lions can no longer overtake the Millers in the table and will be playing in the third tier next season following a five-year stay in the Championship.
They face former boss Kenny Jackett at Wolves on the final day of the season but victory would now be a mere consolation at the end of a bitterly disappointing campaign.
Millwall won just seven games before Ian Holloway was sacked in March, but while relegation looked inevitable interim boss Neil Harris quickly improved performances.
The Lions have picked up ten points from nine games under Harris and with more time he may have steered them to safety.
But Rotherham, deducted three points last week, beat the Royals to clinch survival.
