MILLWALL have continued their policy of rewarding their best young players for their good form, with the news that Shane Ferguson has committed his future to the club until the summer of 2019.
Ferguson signed an 18-month contract when he joined permanently from Newcastle United in January 2016, after impressing during an initial loan deal.
The 25-year-old Northern Ireland international has played 80 times for the Lions, including 34 appearances this season.
Ferguson has scored three times in 2016-17, including twice in the FA Cup, with his late strike against AFC Bournemouth (above) in the third round followed by an assist for Steve Morison’s goal at home to Watford that set up this weekend’s fifth-round meeting with Leicester City.
