MILLWALL will make an eleventh-hour decision on the fitness of Lee Martin ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Huddersfield Town at The Den.
Martin, who was forced off after 15 minutes against Nottingham Forest with heavily bruised ribs, was able to resume light training on Thursday.
But the Lions will continue to monitor the winger’s condition right up until kick-off.
Even if the 27-year-old is passed fit, he may only get a spot on Ian Holloway’s bench following the impressive performance of the side at the City Ground.
Ed Upson replaced Martin after his injury and he slotted into a three-man midfield alongside Jimmy Abdou and Shaun Williams to good effect.
Star man Diego Fabbrini, who had begun proceedings in the no.10 role, flourished after being moved out to a wider position.
Lee Gregory made an impact as second-half susbtitute against Forest and could be rewarded with a place in the starting XI – as could match-winner Ricardo Fuller.
Dan Harding, who was not allowed to face his parent club, is available for selection but Holloway could keep faith with Mark Beevers after he helped to keep a clean sheet.
New signings Michael Tonge and Jordan Archer will be hoping to make the match-day squad of 18.
But Paris Cowan-Hall (knee), Nicky Bailey (calf), Carlos Edwards (knee) and Sid Nelson (suspended) are definitely ruled out.
Huddersfield could be without Joel Lynch, Tommy Smith and Jonathan Hogg.
However, Town boss Chris Powell has received a boost with the news that top-scorer Nahki Wells (foot) and goalkeeper Alex Smithies (illness) are able to feature.
Deadline-day arrival Ishmael Miller could make his debut.
