NEIL Harris said his side will stick to what they know as they attempt to earn a first Championship win in seven games when they face Sheffield United at The Den on Saturday.
The Lions have lost five of their last six league games, but Harris was encouraged by the reception his side got from more than 2,000 away fans after last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to West Brom at The Hawthorns.
Millwall are in the bottom three after just one win in nine games.
“The reaction in the changing room and of the fanbase after the game – I don’t do social media so I don’t know what it’s like – but the reaction of those who were at the game was positive, they appreciated a good performance,” Harris said.
“The reaction of the players afterwards was one of disappointment because they’ve lost. However, they know it was an improved performance.
“All we can do is know what we do best and stick to what we do best. We have to have the belief that results will change because what we’ve done over a long period has been very good.
“Yes we have to tinker and find different ways, but individuals have to find ways to be better. We have to find ways to be a better team and that’s what we’re working at.”
Harris made eight changes for the midweek EFL Cup clash with Fulham, which ended in a 3-1 defeat.
Shaun Hutchinson is still out injured, while Ryan Tunnicliffe has been playing with a broken toe.
Harris has plenty to consider ahead of the meeting with fourth-place Blades, including whether to change to a 3-5-2 formation to match Chris Wilder’s set-up.
United have won five of their last seven league games after losing their first two, and Wilder could pick the same side that started in the 3-2 win over Preston at Bramall Lane last Saturday.
Possible Millwall starting XI:
4-4-2: Amos; Romeo, Webster, Cooper, Meredith; J Wallace, Leonard, Williams, O’Brien; Gregory, Morison.

Last season’s meetings:
