Lynn ABC’s Cyrus Donaldson secured his third national title in as many years with a majority points win at the novice championships last weekend.
Donaldson boxed in the England Alliance under-57kg novice championships after having pull-outs against him in the quarter- and semi-final.
Donaldson put in a fantastic display of boxing to secure his first senior title after success in both the junior and youth categories in previous years.
His opponent Rory O’Hara from Waltham Cross ABC proved to be a formidable opponent which made it a great fight but Donaldson came away with the majority decision.
In Lynn’s other match, Frankie Hannratty lost a points decision to Ben Bishop From Halling ABC.
Coach Terry Pearson said: “I was extremely proud of both boxers. They did the club proud.”
