Millwall’s young supporters got the chance to get up close and personal with their heroes at the club’s open training session at The Den on Monday.
Several hundred Lions fans packed into the Barry Kitchener Stand and were addressed by boss Neil Harris before the squad – including the seven summer recruits – were put through their paces.
Players and staff were happy to sign autographs and pose for photos – and club mascots Zampa and Bolina also got in on the act, happily mingling with excited young fans.
“The kids are coming down, they’re off school and all happy,” Millwall defender Byron Webster said.
“It’s good for them to meet the players, meet their heroes.
“It’s good for us as well. Usually it’s the dads who want the photos with us! But now we’ve got the kids here and they’re all smiling, the sun is shining, so it’s a very good day.”
