GOALKEEPER Frank Fielding played his first 90 minutes of competitive football for Millwall as Sam Skeffington scored the winner in a Professional Development League game against Colchester at Calmont Road on Tuesday afternoon.
The midfielder’s 60th-minute strike gave Kevin Nugent’s 10-man team all three points, after Harvey Bradbury was shown a straight red card in the second half.
Fielding came through his first major test since tearing his quad on the opening day of the season against Preston.
Bart Bialkowski replaced Fielding in that game and has since impressed as the Lions’ No.1 with on-loan Luke Steele as back-up.
Isaac Olaofe’s surge down the wing and cut-back allowed Skeffington score the only goal.
Striker Bradbury was given a red card for a foul on Ollie Sims.
