MILLWALL captain Tony Craig and winger Shane Ferguson are doubts for the League One meeting with Northampton Town at The Den on Friday.
Craig picked up a dead leg at Shrewsbury and missed the 1-1 draw at Gillingham last Saturday. Ferguson has a rib problem.
Lee Gregory and Jordan Archer are back in contention for a place in boss Neil Harris’ starting XI. Gregory played 25 minutes at Priestfield and Archer is back in full training after missing the last three games with a quad injury.
Aiden O’Brien is a doubt, with Harris telling the club’s official website that he picked up an ankle injury against the Gills. The 14-goal attacker will have a fitness test before the game.
Millwall are a point ahead of Southend, who are seventh in the league table, with four games to go.
The Lions have won two and drawn one of their last three games, having won only once in March.
Assistant manager Dave Livermore admitted the run to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup before the 6-0 defeat at Tottenham did affect league performances.
“You see that happen quite a lot to teams up and down the country,” Livermore said. “It’s something we tried to guard against, whether it’s a subconscious thing.
“The cup run probably did hurt us a little bit in terms of our league form. But the guys have been fantastic.
“We had a little dip but did more work with them on the training pitch, re-focused and Neil did some great work with videos and reminders of what we had gone away from that was getting us the results.
“Sometimes it’s just little reminders, it doesn’t hurt to show them the stuff that we do well.”
Meanwhile, Brendan Moloney and Alex Revell are back from injury for Northampton. Gabriel Zakuani is recovering from a hamstring problem. Influential midfielder John-Joe O’Toole has also been struggling with injury recently.
Northampton are six points above the relegation zone, but are 250/1 to go down. Justin Edinburgh’s side have won just once away from home in 2017, at AFC Wimbledon in March.
Millwall are on a 14-match unbeaten run at The Den.
