JIMMY Abdou has moved across south London to join League One AFC Wimbledon on loan.
Millwall midfielder Abdou, 33, will spend the 2017-18 season with Neal Ardley’s Dons.
Millwall announced on Thursday that Abdou had signed a new one-year contract after his previous deal expired at the end of June.
Ardley revealed Abdou was his first-choice transfer target for midfield.
He told the Dons’ official website: “He’s the player in question I spoke about at ‘Meet the Manager’ when I told the supporters I had a main midfield target in mind that I’d hoped to get and that he would be one of the first names on the team sheet.
“I’m really pleased we’ve been able to get him for the season.”
The Dons will be the fifth club of Abdou’s long career, after spells at Plymouth and in France with Sedan and FC Martiques.
