JAMIE Philpot has joined National League Bromley on a one-month youth loan.
Philpot has featured five times for Millwall this season and made his full debut in the League Cup defeat to Nottingham Forest in August.
“I’ve been in and out of the Millwall squad with not a lot of playing time so when the manager said Bromley were interested I jumped at the opportunity and I’m looking forward to playing and scoring plenty of goals,” he told his new club’s official website. “It’s a great chance for me to prove myself in men’s football and show the manager I’m capable of making even more first-team appearances for Millwall.”
Bromley manager Neil Smith said the club had to be patient in their pursuit of the 20-year-old striker. “We’ve been after Jamie for a few weeks now, but injuries at Millwall meant we were unable to call upon his services as early as we would have liked.
“But I took a phone call from Neil Harris to let me know he was available again and we’ve brought him in, I think he’s going to be a fantastic addition to our squad.”
