KRISTIAN Brymora is leaving Millwall after one season at the club.
The Australian striker confirmed on his Instagram account that he is to pursue his next challenge in Sweden.
The 19-year-old travelled to England last summer after one senior game in the A League for Newcastle Jets. He had a successful trial with the Lions, earning a short-term deal that was then extended until the end of the season.
Brymora was a regular for Kevin Nugent’s under-23s in the Professional Development League.
In an interview with Southwark News in December, Brymora explained how well he had settled at the club.
“I’ve gotten to know James [Meredith] really well and I look at him almost as an older brother. We get lunch together and it’s nice to have a mentor.
“He understands the politics of it all and what coaches want to see and what I should work on.
“I’m taking it day to day and focusing on trying to improve myself, learning off the older boys. I’d love to extend my stay here, I love the football. The coaches and facilities are a dream for me.
“We do joint sessions with the first team sometimes, doing shooting drills with Lee Gregory and Steve Morison. They’re great players to just be able to watch, the way they move and the way they play. I want to work towards that.”
Confirming his departure, Brymora wrote: “I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at @millwallfcinsta for everything over the last year! It was a mission of mine to get into European football, and thanks to Millwall my football has grown so much! I am now very excited for my future here in Sweden…looking forward to what’s to come!”
