A collision involving two buses in Herne Hill closed a major road this morning.
Police were called to the junction of Herne Hill and Frankfurt Road at 5.29am (Thursday December 29) to reports of a road traffic incident.
Officers attended with London Ambulance Service and fortunately found there were no serious injuries.
There were reportedly severe delays this morning, with the 68 and 468 buses being diverted along new routes. The road has now been reopened.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “At 05.29pm on Thursday, 29 December police were called to the junction of Herne Hill and Frankfurt Road, SE24 following reports of a road traffic collision involving two buses.
“Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service. There were no serious injuries.”
