A seventeen-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after an eighteen-year-old was stabbed near the McDonald’s on Old Kent Road.
The male will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday, 28 February) charged with attempted murder, possession of a bladed article, witness intimidation, and criminal damage.

The stabbing took place in the early hours of Saturday, February 25, and is believed to have taken place outside the fast food restaurant.
It left an eighteen-year-old in critical condition but, thankfully, his condition has since improved.
Police arrived at around 4.15am and discovered the victim inside the McDonald’s who was rushed to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
In a statement given in the immediate aftermath of the stabbing, a Met Police spokesperson said: “At 04:14hrs on Saturday, 25 February police were called to Old Kent Road, SE1 following reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service. An 18-year-old male was taken to hospital.”
