Borough High Street was cordoned off once again after a suspected substance attack on Sunday afternoon.
A teenager approached officers and said he had been sprayed with a substance, at around 3.37pm, outside a Sainsbury’s.
Believing the incident to be a possible acid attack, police and paramedics were urgently called along with the London Fire Brigade.
The victim is said to have not suffered any injuries and as yet the type of substance has not been determined.
Enquiries are now underway to establish what happened.
So far, no one has been arrested.
Cordons were in place either side of the bridge but were reduced and roads re-opened by yesterday night.
